libboost-mpi-python-dev software package provides Python interface to the Message Passing Interface (MPI) (default version), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libboost-mpi-python-dev
libboost-mpi-python-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libboost-mpi-python-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libboost-mpi-python-dev *
You will get with libboost-mpi-python-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
